Meet Debbie

Debbie E. Louis is a results-driven strategist whose political career began more than a decade ago with a school project that propelled her to make an impact in the community. She was paired with a local politician, Assemblyman Darryl C. Towns and interned for one year at his office.

Following in the footsteps of her mother, an 1199SEIU organizer who was on the front lines fighting for healthcare workers’ rights and healthcare for all, Debbie would soon discover her passion and purpose is to help others.

While working with partners at Titans Consulting Strategies, she has consulted with good government groups like Common Cause to help improve transparency and accountability. Her innovative yet effective approach has secured major victories that would soon transform New York’s political landscape- the advancement of ranked-choice voting and the election of culturally-diverse candidates.

Aside from her impassioned advocacy, Debbie is the founder and creative genius behind A La Mode Weddings & Events. As an entrepreneur and lifestyle leader, she has utilized her platform to influence people and entrepreneurs on how to discover work-life balance.

Debbie has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in English. She later earned a master’s degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology with a specialization in Leadership. To date, her certifications include Public and Nonprofit Leadership, Event Executive Leadership, Event & Design Planning, and Leadership. Given her unique combination of education and expertise, Debbie began teaching courses on leadership, power, and motivation at her alma mater.

Currently, Debbie is a member of the Haitian-American Caucus and serves as a junior board member of CAMBA. Her versatility, keen insight, and extensive knowledge of the issues in political discourse has been a tremendous asset to faith-based and nonprofit organizations working to revitalize their communities.
